Best Global Logistics

When Vinmonopolet set stricter requirements for operators in 2015, small distributors had to find a way around in order to stay in the market. That's when Best Global Logistics, formerly Altus Norway, stepped in.

In collaboration with iSYS, an EDI solution was created to effectively make BGL AS the contact link at Vinmonopolet for smaller operators.

Moss Avis has written several articles about BGL/Altus and their success story over the years.

Today, Monica and Stig each have their own office and different responsibilities, but have worked closely together since their first day in 2008. BGL's premises in Moss cover 11,000 square meters and are used for marine and project logistics, wine distribution and general cargo logistics.

Since 2015, they have worked closely with iSYS to create forward-looking solutions that can be built on and adjusted based on customer and market demand.

Best Global Logistics recently upgraded their WMS to InStock. They say that they were keen to get an efficient system that provides a total overview. And which, not least, allowed for expansion and flexibility. Stig emphasizes that it's important that their customers only need to register information about e.g. products once. This is to minimize the chance of errors and ensure that everyone gets the same information.

For an industry that is constantly growing, it is important to be innovative. Through visits and workshops, BGL AS and iSYS have worked to adjust and further develop the solutions to meet greater needs and market requirements, but also to create an everyday life that runs smoothly and where everyone feels they have a constant overview.

Work is now starting on feed® as a PIM solution to improve product information and new portals to improve the process for customers.
